Some History:
The Maktive Team has been building inventory for more than 12 years. We started as a small mobile disc jockey that elevated into a full scale production company. Thanks to our great clientele, we are moving forward as one of the Southwest's most reliable, well-equiped, and affordable production company out there.
Just a note: The National Association of Mobile Entertainers estimated that we were worth more than half a million in assets in 2006.
The Maktive Team
Bryan McClanahan
Bryan McClanahan has been in the entertainment field for more than 10 years. He is the owner of Maktive Event Productions as well as one of it's primary lighting/sound technicians. Bryan McClanahan is in his fourth year at UCLA and plans to go to business school after he receives his bachelor's degree in Design/Media Arts. He owns and operates Trackonaut Records and has worked as a creative consultant for Gary Goddard Entertainment in ride design.
Mike Cherest
Mike Charest is a triple threat of Maktive Event Productions, handling lighting and sound as well as being a hard-hitting DJ on the turntables. He has been a lead technician at Pacific Event Productions for the past five years as well as a major DJ of Trackonaut Records.
Curtis Mueller
Curtis Mueller is Maktive Event Production's lead lighting designer and programmer. He is a senior lighting technician at Cal Arts and has built up his experience in lighting design for over a decade. He has done stage work across California and is considered by many amusement parks and directors to be a true professional when it comes to lighting.
Megan Smith
Megan Smith is the marketing director and creative assistant for Maktive Event Productions. She is in her second year at UCLA and is majoring in Communication Studies. She has interned with Daily Bruin advertising and will now hold an account executive position for one of the leading collegiate newspapers in the nation.
Steven Wilson
Steven Wilson is in his third year at UCLA and is majoring in Design/Media Arts as well.
Considered one of the most valuable assets to the design department, his creative video productions have won multiple awards and become instant YouTube hits. He is the main videographer of Maktive Event Productions and is an expert in digital media for the company.
Jon Dadon
Jon Dadon is one of the forefront DJs of Maktive Event Productions. He will be graduating this year from UCSD and is one of the premiere House DJs in San Diego County. In addition to DJing at popular San Diego clubs such as Jade and On Broadway, he has also been involved with the Miami Electronic Music Festival.
